The main task of the Department is to ensure integration processes in the post-Soviet space, implement the goals and objectives determined by the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty.
The core activities of the Department are
- Development and deepening of integration within the EAEU, the formation of common markets of the countries participating in the Eurasian integration process.
- Elaboration of the government policy on the economic cooperation and integration development with the EAEU member states and CIS member states.
- Monitoring of the integration processes within the EAEU, preparation of recommendations and proposals on the issues submitted to the regulatory bodies of the EAEU to develop the coordinated directions for Eurasian integration development.
The scope of the Department also includes participation in the development of proposals for the preparation of draft documents and decisions adopted at a supranational level, in consideration of the fundamental issues of the EAEU, including determination of the strategies, prospects and additional areas for further integration, including taking into account the world experience of the successful development of the regional integration associations.
The Department also coordinates interdepartmental interaction on the issues of EAEU functioning, development of supranational institutions and prospective integration projects, the attraction of the new partners to cooperate with the EAEU.
