The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will discuss measures to establish communication between regional business and RF trade missions abroad to support export. This was announced on Tuesday, March 2, by Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Reshetnikov at a meeting with the business community of Altai Krai.
The Minister reminded that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently engaged in resetting the system of Russian trade missions. “Now we are developing together a new strategy for foreign economic activity. We also strive to load new tasks on the trade missions”, he said.
The head of the department pointed out that Russia has made significant progress in import substitution in agricultural engineering. “We have even outgrown in some positions, and this is confirmed by the fact that you supply your products to 27 countries,” he said to the entrepreneur who asked a question about new measures to support export.
According to Maksim Reshetnikov, trade missions should guide system export programs. “We need to form these horizontal programs, target them by countries, including at your request. And come out with this,” he stressed, confirming that the foreign economic bloc of the Ministry of Economic Development will join in the relevant work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Let us think together with the regional centers of export support how you and we can ensure effective communication with the trade missions,” suggested the Minister.
As a separate task for interdepartmental work, Maksim Reshetnikov stated the need to support export of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, including through the development of export through the channels of e-commerce sites.
