The Minister of economic development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov has addressed with a salutatory word to the participants and organizers of the Third Chinese International Exhibition of Imported Goods. The event takes place from November 5 to 10, 2020 in Shanghai, on the territory of the National Exhibition Center.
The exhibition is organized on the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping and is designed to demonstrate the openness of the Chinese market, as well as support for the world trade. Since 2018, the Russian Federation has been participating in the event as a partner country.
According to Maxim Reshetnikov, the exhibition "has become a landmark international event, and the principle of open cooperation which is the basis of this project, has acquired the special significance today."
The Minister also stressed that Russian export-oriented businesses have managed to assess the effectiveness of this exhibition. Despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, dozens of Russian companies will take part in the event. Participants represent the commercial, industrial, investment and tourism potential of Russia.
The experience of the Russian Federation's participation in the China International Exhibition of Imported Goods shows the demand among Russian business in cooperation with the state and corporate sectors of China. In addition, it is an opportunity to open new and effective trade channels for domestic exports.
For reference: the People's Republic of China firmly occupies the position of the leading foreign trade partner of the Russian Federation. Over the past ten years, the value of bilateral trade in goods and services has grown by almost 90% and reached a historic high of $ 119 billion last year.
