Deputy Minister of economic development Oksana Tarasenko took part in the opening ceremony of Russian-Chinese scientific, technical and innovative cooperation for 2020-2021.
The Protocol on the implementation of the action plan in the VCS mode was signed by the Chairmen of the national organizing committees for the preparation and holding of the years of joint cooperation. The Russian side was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova, the Chinese side was headed by the Deputy Premier of the State Council of China Sun Chunlan.
The joint cooperation plan includes activities in various areas, including artificial intelligence, robotics, information and biotechnology.
It is planned to implement more than 1000 events-conferences, exhibitions, forums, competitions of joint research projects and educational seminars, including in the field of training of scientific and technical personnel.
The ceremony saw the signing of the Action plan for Russian-Chinese cooperation in science, technology and innovation for the period 2020-2025.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia together with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China plan to hold the IV Russian-Chinese Dialogue on Innovation in October 2020 within the framework of the Moscow International Forum of Innovative Development "Open Innovations". The Russian co-chair is Oksana Tarasenko.
The years 2020-2021 are declared years of Russian-Chinese scientific, technical and innovative cooperation in accordance with the "Joint statement between China and Russia on the development of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation entering a new era". The document was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President XI Jinping in June 2019.
