On July 24, an online round table was held on the topic "What to do to become an exporter and earn money". The event was opened by Lilia Shchur-Trukhanovich, Director of the Department of Development and Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of topical issues facing Russian exporters in modern economic conditions. Speaking about the main directions of the Ministry of Economic Development in relation to foreign economic activity, Lilia Shchur-trukhanovich stressed the importance of implementing the Federal project "Export of services".
"We see how exports of services give a significant increase in GDP in almost every country in the world. We need to form a new package of measures specifically for this" the Director of the Department said.
To facilitate the access of Russian exporters to foreign markets, the Ministry of Economic Development together with the REC have developed a special methodology, which clearly describes the rules and regulatory restrictions for exports to various countries, as well as ways to overcome them. The document was compiled in the Q2 2020, taking into account comments from major market participants, and continues to be updated.
"Our main task is to find barriers to the development of foreign economic activity, to identify the threat of their introduction. Due to restrictive measures, the situation is constantly changing, so now active interaction with exporters is especially important" Liliya Shchur-Trukhanovich noted.
The discussion was also attended by: Stanislav Georgievsky, Vice-President of REC JSC; Mikhail Akishin, Deputy Head of the customs control organization Service of the Central Customs Administration; Vladimir Vinogradov, Head of the Department of Export Development and New Business Lines of the Russian Post; Ilya Mikin, Head of the Russian representative office of iHerb; Anton Skorobogatov, General Director of Parabola LLC.
