Within the framework of the Federal targeted investment program for 2020 and the planning period of 2021 and 2022, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has agreed on a list of objects for capital construction.
These include the construction of two large wastewater treatment facilities in the urban districts of Elektrostal and Lytkarino in the Moscow region, as well as the reconstruction of Shchelkovsky inter-district treatment facilities.
More than 12 billion rubles have been allocated from the Federal budget for the construction of these facilities until 2024. The construction of treatment facilities will be implemented within the framework of the national project "Ecology".
Reconstruction of Shchelkovsky inter-district treatment facilities is the largest and most complex object on the territory of the Moscow region. The facility is designed to receive and treat waste water from five municipal districts and will achieve indicators for reducing the volume of contaminated waste water by 89 thousand cubic meters per year, as well as provide 800 thousand people of the city settlement of Shchelkovo with treated water in the established time frame.
Reconstruction of treatment facilities in Elektrostal will reduce the intensity of pollution of the Volga river and improve its environmental condition. The project capacity of the facility is 60 thousand cubic meters per day, which fully meets the needs of the municipality residents.
Reconstruction of treatment facilities in Lytkarino will improve the quality of wastewater treatment for more than 60 thousand consumers, taking into account the long-term development and population growth, as well as reduce several times the pollution of the Moscow and Volga rivers.
