The management company "North Caucasus Spas" has summed up the visitation of resorts in the first month of autumn. Compared to the same period last year, the tourist flow to "Arkhyz" in Karachay-Cherkessia has increased by 72%, to "Veduchi" in the Chechen Republic – by 73%, to "Elbrus" in Kabardino-Balkaria – by 12%.
"The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has developed comprehensive development plans for each of Spas managed by NCS company. They include not only the creation of infrastructure, which, of course, is being carried out at the maximum pace, but also work with strategic partners and residents. Resorts should become year - round not nominally, on paper, but in fact. The places of attraction, activity, package offers for guests are created," Mikhail Babich explains, First Deputy Minister of economic development of the Russian Federation, who oversees the development of the North Caucasus Federal district.
Routine maintenance was carried out on the first and second stages of the cable car of the oldest resort under the NCS management in September, but Arkhyz and Veduchi have hosted tourists in full readiness. As a month earlier, guided tours, horse and car tours were especially popular among the guests.
"In August, Arkhyz launched a partner service for professional guides. There were up to eight groups on the routes at the same time, and the demand for this service was very high in early autumn and it still persists," NCS General Director Hasan Timzhev notes.
In October, the summer season in the Caucasus mountains is still ongoing, and resorts are actively preparing for winter. New trails are being built on Elbrus, two new cable cars are being built on Arkhyz, as well as a ski area for beginners in the tourist village of Lunnaya Polyana. "Veduchi" is being prepared for the second, the main stage of infrastructure construction.
