Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the new composition of the interdepartmental Commission on ensuring the participation of the Russian Federation in the Group of Twenty, which includes Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilichyov.
The corresponding decree was published on the official legal information web-site on April 5, 2021.
"To approve the enclosed herewith composition of the Interdepartmental Commission on ensuring the participation of the Russian Federation in the Group of Twenty... This decree shall come into force on the day it is signed," the document says.
The Commission is chaired by the Russian G20 sherpa, Svetlana Lukash.
The Group of Twenty (G20) is the leading forum for international cooperation on the most important aspects of the international socio-economic and financial agenda.
The G20 brings together the world's leading developed and developing economies, accounting for 80% of global GDP, global trade, greenhouse gas emissions, as well as 2/3 of the world's population.
